Public Access

Instructing Your Barrister Direct.

The Public Access Scheme allows members of the public to instruct barristers with specialist training directly without the need to instruct a solicitor. In order to use the scheme, your barrister will need to consider whether they are able to take your case on through via the public access scheme. Generally, instructing a barrister directly is usually considered to be more cost effective than instructing a solicitor as in utilising the public access scheme you are also agreeing to undertake the day to day management of the case yourself. For more information on the public access scheme please visit the Bar Council website.
